Migrants earn nearly 13 percent less on average than native workers in high-income countries, according to a new International Labour Organization (ILO) report.
The gap between wages paid to migrant and native workers is significant and growing, and may widen further because of the pandemic, said the report.
The report published yesterday, The migrant pay gap: Understanding wage differences between migrants and nationals , examined 49 countries that host half of the world s migrant workers and found that they were earning nearly 13 percent less on average.
