Syracuse, N.Y. All state-run Covid-19 vaccination sites are scheduled to be open as usual on Tuesday despite a big winter storm that could bring a foot of snow and freezing rain tonight and Tuesday morning.
Onondaga County is also scheduled to hold its regular clinic on Tuesday. A pair of counties in Western New York, expected to get hit hardest by the storm, have already postponed their appointments.
The New York state Department of Health runs 13 clinics, from Jones Beach, on Long Island, to the University at Buffalo. All of those are expected to open on time on Tuesday, said department spokeswoman Erin Silk. If the weather worsens and any of those clinics are postponed, she said, anyone with an appointment will get an email or text message rescheduling their appointment within seven days.
