PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) announced on Tuesday that nine routes are on detour due to inclement weather conditions.
Riders should expect detours on routes 18, 21, 27, 51, 55, 56, 62, 66 and 87.
“Riders may expect some delays on all routes due to weather conditions and are advised to use extreme caution at bus stops due to decreased visibility and slippery conditions,” RIPTA said in a release. “The safety of our employees and passengers is RIPTA’s top priority. RIPTA apologizes for the inconvenience and asks for the public’s understanding as we work hard to maintain service during this storm.”

Rhode Island Public Transit Authority, Providence, is searching for an investment consultant for its $134 million defined benefit plan.
The authority is seeking a consultant to provide analysis and recommendations for the plan s asset allocation, ongoing investment monitoring and assist the authority in the search and hiring of money managers, according to an RFP posted on the state of Rhode Island s purchasing website.
Which firm, if any, currently provides the services and whether the firm is invited to rebid could not be immediately learned.
The RFP is available on the state s purchasing website. Proposals are due at 1 p.m. EST on March 2. A timeline for a selection was not provided.

Perhaps the most surprising is that the list does not include any senior members of Raimondo’s staff or cabinet. GoLocal has learned that of Raimondo s personal staff of 40, fewer than ten have voiced an interest in staying with McKee.
