2 Chattanooga Residents Participate In 2021 World Rowing Indoor Championship Wednesday, March 3, 2021
The World Rowing Indoor Championship has official world championship status. Typically, the race changes venues annually moving around the world showcasing a truly international sport and bringing the best athletes from all corners of the globe. This year, the World Rowing Indoor Championships were held virtually. Anyone with a Concept 2 rowing machine could enter to qualify. The qualification round was held in November and two Chattanooga residents qualified to compete in the World Championship that was held this past week.
Matt Snare, 37, of Harrison, and Preston McAfee, 49, of Ooltewah, both qualified and competed among the top 10 fastest competitors in their respective age brackets representing the USA.
