SALISBURY, N.C. Authorities say a man who was shot at a Mexican restaurant in Salisbury on April 2nd has died.
Salisbury Police say Mauricio Salazar died from the injuries he sustained in a shooting that happened just after 10pm at the Los Arcos restaurant on Klumac Road.
Three people were found suffering from gunshot wounds when officers arrived on the scene Friday night, according to a news release.
The suspect, 20-year-old Hugo Riquelme Alonso, was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder and other charges, according to a news release.

He is currently in the Rowan County Detention Center with no bond. Police have not released a motive in the shooting.

SALISBURY, N.C. (WBTV) - One of three people who were shot at a Mexican restaurant late Friday night in Salisbury has died, officials confirmed Monday morning.
Mauricio Salazar succumbed to his injuries he sustained during the incident, according to police.
The shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. Friday at the Los Arcos restaurant on Klumac Road. When police arrived at the scene, they found three people who were suffering from gunshot wounds.

SALISBURY, N.C. Salisbury police say a man is facing attempted murder charges after reportedly shooting three people, two of whom were still in critical condition as of Saturday.
SPD says the shooting happened just after 10 a.m. at the Los Arcos Mexican restaurant on Klumac Road. Officers found the victims on scene and had the two critical victims taken to a local hospital, while the third victim was treated and released on scene by EMS.
While there, police say they got a description of the car the suspect was in, and that information was sent to other officers. This lead to the quick discovery of the car at the intersection of Highway 601 and East Ridge Road. The driver was taken into custody and charged with attempted 2nd-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

ROWAN CO., N.C. Detectives with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office say a man is under arrest for numerous narcotics and weapons violations after a three-month long investigation starting in January of 2021.
Detectives say Jonathan Austin of Rockwell, North Carolina is charged with two counts of felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver LSD, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep drugs, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia possession, manufacturing a schedule I controlled substance, trafficking methamphetamine, and possession of a firearm by a felon for his involvement.
