(WBTV) - Two men who took advantage of a briefly opened garage door at the Rowan County Detention Center enjoyed about 20 minutes of freedom before being caught. According to the report at the Rowan Sheriff’s Office, Dillon Leon Thomas, 24, and Freddy Dewayne Gentry, 34, ran from a roll up door on the Liberty Street side of the jail at around 6:00 am on Thursday morning. The door had opened to allow a delivery van to come inside.

Credit Rowan County Detention Center The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested a Rowan County man Monday on charges related to child sexual abuse material. 29-year-old Jonathan Davenport was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect uploading images of child sexual exploitation online.   The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Morehead on Monday. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s digital forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.
