Ross & Co. Salon and Tanning out of West Lorne has held a charity fundraiser, called the “Sparkle Campaign”. Nikki Chase, owner of Ross & Co. shared about the charity event.
In the salon, paper stockings designed and created by Jax Chase, Nikki’s nine year old son, were for sale and display. For $5 per stocking, patrons at the salon could write their name on their selected stocking and have it hang on the wall in the salon.

Following the inability to hold the annual Rodney Fair in September, the Rodney-Aldborough Agricultural Society has been looking for different ways to raise money to ensure that the next fair whenever that may be will be as great as ever.
One way is through a fundraiser now underway that should appeal to locals and hockey enthusiasts alike. In a raffle-style draw, ticket-holders have the opportunity to win a signed Vancouver Canucks captain jersey of West Elgin’s own Bo Horvat, donated by Roodzant Seed Services. The second place prize is a “gently-used” hockey stick autographed by Horvat, donated by the Horvat family.
