Plowy McPlowFace wins plow-naming competition in a landslide
It was an avalanche.

According to the Twin Cities Pioneer Press, the big winner garnered 65,292 votes, which doubled the second-place finisher, Ope Just Gonna Plow Right Past Ya, which tallied 29,457 votes and will also be the name of a plow. Other names on the ballot included a nod to local heroes.
One plow will be named Plow Bunyan, which is an homage to lumberjack legend Paul Bunyan. Musical trailblazer Prince will also be honored with a snow machine called The Truck Formerly Known As Plow. Prince themed names Raspberry Brrr-et and Purple Snow also got consideration.

The suggestions came in by the thousands, with the inevitable puns and nods to Prince, Minnesota Twins legends and, of course, snow.
There was Raspberry Brrr-et, Road Carew and Minnesota nICE, all credible options as clever names for state snowplows.
