Tuolumne County Tuolumne Public Health reports 3 new community cases and 1 new Sierra Conservation Center inmate case. One of the new cases is hospitalized and the rest appear to be isolating, two residents with COVID-19 are currently hospitalized. Active community cases increased to 32, and 1 was released from isolation since Thursday.
The new community cases are 1 male age 50-59, and 1 male age 60-69, and 1 female age 80-89.
Tuolumne County has a total of 3,870 cases split between 2,488 community cases and 1,382 inmate cases. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation reports 124 active inmate cases at the Sierra Conservation Center today. COVID-19 vaccination distribution
Sonora, CA – Rite Aid will soon be offering COVID-19 shots and scheduling at its Sonora and Angles Camp stores to being sometime in March or the beginning of April.
In the Tuolumne County Public Health coronavirus daily update, earlier reported here, it announced that Rite Aid is starting to schedule appointments on its website for those eligible. While area residents can get on the site to try and schedule an appointment, local pharmacy officials from both local stores tell Clarke Broadcasting they will be turned away for now. Sonora Rite Aid Pharmacy Manager Gage Mathivanan admits it is confusing and notes that currently, only stores in the more heavily populated areas have received the federal vaccine shipments,

Sonora, CA – Adventist Health Sonora has scheduled a new weekend clinic to vaccinate more than 500 Tuolumne County residents booted from last Saturday’s clinic due to a computer glitch that left them with no shot and no new date to get one.
As reported here, when that clinic was opened to those 65 and older the website was overwhelmed, and the scheduling system malfunctioned overbooking 550 appointments. In a press release given out late today, hospital officials detailed, “During the week of February 15, representatives from Adventist Health Sonora will be calling all 550 people and rescheduling them, with 275 appointments available on Saturday, February 20, and 275 appointments available on Sunday, February 21.”
