Sonora, CA – Tuolumne County Public Health is reporting 30 new COVID cases in the county since the report on Monday, split between 28 community cases and 2 Sierra Conservation Center inmates. There are 91 active cases. Interim Health Officer, Dr. Eric Sergienko spoke about this expected spike in cases on Friday as detailed here.
Of the 28 new community cases, one was vaccinated with Moderna. Two of the new cases are hospitalized, both unvaccinated individuals A total of 6 cases are hospitalized. The gender and age breakdown for the 28 community cases is 4 females and 7 males 0-17 years of age, 3 females age 18-29, 1 female and 5 males 30-39, 3 females and 3 males 40-49, 1 female age 60-69, and 1 male age 70-79.

Sonora, CA – A recent spike in COVID-19 cases has Tuolumne County Public Health recommending masks be worn in public settings regardless of whether a person is fully vaccinated.
Thursday there were 14 new community cases and two of those were fully vaccinated individuals given the Moderna vaccine. That number includes 1 female and 2 males ages 0-17, 1 female and male 30-39, 3 females and 2 males 40-49, 2 females and 1 male 60-69, and 1 male 70-79. As reported here yesterday, over the weekend the county saw the first case of a fully vaccinated person needing hospitalization and since then that number now stands at two individuals.

Sonora, CA – Tuolumne County Public Health is reporting 18 new COVID cases in the county, 14 community cases and 4 Sierra Conservation Center inmates.
There are 43 active cases with four hospitalized. Of the 18 new cases, two were vaccinated with Moderna and one had to be hospitalized and remains a patient. Over this weekend, the first case of a fully vaccinated individual in the county who needed hospitalization was reported by health officials. Tuolumne County has 34 known covid infected individuals actively isolating which is the most the county has seen since the end of February 2021. Of the 76 new Covid-19 cases since June 15 more than a third, a total of 28 cases have been identified since last Friday.
Tuolumne County Interim Public Health Officer, Dr. Eric Sergienko says Tuolumne has not confirmed any additional cases of the Delta Variant of Covid but notes, “I honestly think that is because our sequencing is lagging behind our test results. Sonora, CA – With an Excessive Heat Warning forecast to hit the Mother Lode at noon tomorrow, Tuolumne County has provided a list of facilities for the public to beat the heat.
The National Weather Service reports triple-digit heat from 100 to 115 degrees, with warm overnight lows ranging from the upper 60s to the mid-’80s. as detailed here.
