Isidro Jimenez Arrested
Jamestown, CA Details are limited, but the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office reports that a man was arrested on charges related to carrying out sex crimes on a child known to him.
51-year-old Isidro Jimenez of Jamestown was already on the sex offender registry. Yesterday the sheriff’s office received a report about the alleged new offenses. Once enough evidence was collected, Jimenez was taken into custody at about 4:30pm in the 11000 block of Highway 108 in Jamestown.
The charges against him include aggravated sexual assault against a minor, lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14, and sodomy. His bail is set at $250,000.
Crystal Falls Lake
Tuolumne County, CA The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office is releasing new details about a missing person case.
We first reported about missing person Troy Galloway in January of 2016. A local veteran, he left his home in the Crystal Falls area six years ago and has not been seen since. His family put up a $1,000 reward back then for information on his whereabouts. New clues in an ongoing investigation lead the sheriff’s office to believe that Galloway’s remains are likely in the lake. Officials are working with the Crystal Falls Association to drain the lake. We’ll pass along more information as it becomes available. Be prepared for activity in that area this weekend. No additional information is immediately available.

Groveland, CA The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of an incident at the Yosemite Lakes Country Store gas station.
The Crisis Response Unit is with a man who is barricaded inside. The store is on Highway 120 west of the Yosemite entrance gate. The sheriff’s office asks people to avoid the area and now that a large law enforcement presence is on scene. The sheriff’s office is not currently responding to questions regarding what led to the incident.

Man Arrested After 8-Hour Standoff Inside General Store Near Yosemite Gate

TUOLUMNE COUNTY (CBS13) A Washington state man is under arrest after an eight-hour standoff inside a general store near the Yosemite National Park gate in Tuolumne County over the weekend.
The sheriff’s office says, just after 11 a.m. Sunday, deputies got a report about a man armed with a knife who was inside the Yosemite Lakes County Store. Authorities say the man came into the store irate and refused to leave.
All customers and employees managed to get out of the store safely before deputies got to the scene.
