ITV Studios, which produces and distributes The Voice and its other spin-off shows, announced the news at its London Screenings Format Festival earlier today.
Titled The Voice Rap, the spin-off will launch on Exxen later this month. It is being produced by the streamer’s parent company Acun Medya, which produces The Voice in Turkey, Greece and Mexico.
Maarten Meijs, president of Global Entertainment at ITV Studios, said: “Where The Voice, The Voice Kids and The Voice Senior are formats that cater to all ages, this version is about celebrating a special skill set that is used in various genres. It’s original, diverse and fits perfectly to our cross-platform strategy with the rise of on-demand players skewed at the younger audiences.”
