Practice, policy and politics: how general practice has responded to the COVID-19 pandemic Whilst intensive therapy units and ventilators have so often dominated the COVID-19 headlines over the last year, the impact of the pandemic on general practice has arguably been more dramatic and is likely to be more sustained.   In this seminar, Professor Martin Marshall, Chair of the Royal College of General Practitioner (RCGP), a GP in East London and Professor of Healthcare Improvement at UCL will describe how general practice has responded to the most significant public health and societal crisis in decades. This session will be chaired by Professor Sir Andy Haines, Professor of Environmental Change and Public Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
