WILLIAMSPORT – For the past four years, The Lycoming County United Way joined forces with Jersey Mike’s Subs in Williamsport PA for their Months and Days of Giving.
Every year in March, customers are eligible to make donations through the Jersey Mike’s mobile app or in each store. On the annual Day of Giving, local Jersey Mike’s owners and operators donate their resources and every single dollar that comes in. Jersey Mike’s restaurants give 100 percent of the day’s sales – not just profit – to the Lycoming County United Way.

Rob Glunk, president and CEO of The Muncy Bank and Trust Company recently announced that Stephanie Oakes has been named senior vice president/chief operations officer.
With over 17 years in community banking, Oakes is responsible for the operation of the company’s deposit operations, IT, Commercial Services, Call Center and E-banking functions.
Oakes is a graduate of Jersey Shore Area High School and holds a business administration degree from Penn State University. She is also a graduate of the PBA school of Banking and Advanced School of Banking, the Association of Financial Professionals Cash Management Fundamentals School, and the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce Leadership Lycoming Program. She also holds certificates from the American Bankers’ Association in Operational Risk Management, and Penn State University in Small Business Management, Business Management, Advanced Business Management, Supervisory Essentials I, II, and III.

MUNCY- As part of an ongoing partnership supporting the health of communities across the region, the Lycoming County United Way recently donated 500 facemasks to UPMC Muncy Place. The masks are part of a joint initiative, Sew the Masks, between the United Way of North Central Massachusetts and AIS, an office furniture company located in Leominster, Mass. United Way of North Central Massachusetts is collaborating with United Ways across the northeastern U.S. to distribute the masks.
Shamokin Dam, Pa. â Weis Markets and the Greater Susquehanna Valley United Way have joined forces to provide nearly 10,000 gallons of free milk to distribute to the public in the Susquehanna Valley.
The public is invited to receive up to two (2) gallons of free milk per car. The milk give-away will take place today, Wednesday, Dec. 23 at the new W&L Nissan parking lot (former K-Mart Parking Lot) in Shamokin Dam.
The milk distribution will take place from 1-6 p.m. (or until supplies last) and will be a drive-through style giveaway. Patrons will be asked to remain in their vehicle and open their trunk when requested. The dealerships of W&L have generously offered the use of their parking lot in order to support the milk distribution.
