LAFAYETTE, La. â The Louisiana State Police have identified Dajun Mosley, 20, of New Orleans, as the driver who was killed in a fatal crash on I-10 W near Louisiana identified that also injured three others.
On Jan. 13, shortly after 8:30 p.m., LSP Troop I responded to a two-vehicle fatal crash on Interstate 10 westbound near Louisiana Avenue, which claimed the life of an unidentified driver.
The preliminary investigation by LSP revealed a deputy with the Iberville Parish Sheriffâs Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen 2016 Dodge Charger in Iberville Parish.
One person was killed Friday during an early morning house fire in Lafayette. Firefighters say they were called to the fire at 3:18 am on February 26 in the 100 block of Theriot Street.

A man was found dead following a fire in Lafayette early Friday morning.
The Lafayette Fire Department was called at about 3:15 a.m. Friday to a single-family home with flames coming from a bedroom window in the 100 block of Theriot Street.
Two of the home s occupants were outside at a neighbor’s house, with a third, later identified as 58-year-old Emanuel Narcisse, still inside of the home according to a Lafayette Fire Department press release. The two occupants were asleep when a smoke alarm activated. They smelled smoke and noticed it coming from their friend’s bedroom according to the press release.

(NEW YORK) A man has died in Louisiana after slipping on ice caused by a blast of cold that has not been seen in parts of the South in decades.
The 50-year-old man hit his head on this ice, according to the Lafayette Parish Coroner’s Office, which confirmed that the death was storm-related.
A tornado watch is also affecting parts of the South from southern Georgia to north Florida. The threat for a few tornadoes, damaging wind gusts and large hail will continue through Monday evening and has already damaged some homes in Damascus, Georgia, according to local authorities.
