Man accused of attacking gay teen facing hate crime charge Today in History for January 25th Replay Video The man police said attacked a gay Kaplan teen last year is facing a hate crime charge.  Chance Seneca was arrested in June after Lafayette Police said he stabbed Holden White, who is gay, in the neck and wrists. Seneca was charged with attempted second-degree murder. He has pleaded not guilty to that charge.  © no credit no caption In a bill of information filed last week in Lafayette Parish, prosecutors claimed 19-year-old Seneca selected White because of the victim s sexual orientation. White, of Kaplan, was found on June 20 by Lafayette Police officers at a home in the 400 block of Maryview Farm Road, near Louisiana Avenue in north Lafayette.
