Why Lagosians Are Boycotting The Ongoing Local Council Elections By Kunle Wizeman Ajayi Why Lagosians Are Boycotting The Ongoing Local Council Elections By Kunle Wizeman Ajayi Apparently, the ongoing Lagos State Local government Council Elections today July 24th is marred with apathy by voters to the extent that APC and government officials are being filmed on air begging citizens to come out to vote. LASIEC lists losers of APC LG primary as winners

Punch Newspapers Sections Published 16 June 2021 Some winners of the local government and councillorship primaries conducted by the All Progressives Congress, have been surreptitiously replaced in the list published by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission. It was gathered that several of those who won the primary and were so declared, had their names replaced with those of persons who lost the May 29 contest. In the Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, for example, Mr. Dipo Olorunrinu, a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, was declared winner of the local government chairmanship primary and was presented with the LASIEC form which was filled and published.
