The Akinruyiwa of Owu Kingdom and real estate mogul, Chief Olumide Aderinokun, has congratulated Muslims in Ogun Central Senatorial District following the completion of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement released by his media office on Wednesday, Aderinokun urged Muslims to continue to pray for a better Ogun State and Nigeria.
“We thank Almighty Allah for seeing us through the Holy Month. I enjoin the people to imbibe the true spirit of Islam and the teachings of the Holy Quran in their daily lives.
“We must also remember to intensify prayers for unity, peace and progress of Nigeria.

The Imo State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has disclosed that three officers of the command lost their lives in the course of insecurity in the state.
The state Commandant, Michael Ogar, disclosed this while interacting with newsmen on Wednesday in his office.
He regretted that one of the deceased officers was on anti bunkering duty when he met his death, while the other two lost their lives by stray bullets as a result of insecurity in the state.
The Commandant gave the assurance of full compensation for the families of the deceased in line with NSCDC’s memorandum of operation.

The Judge and his N10 million Loan
Two weeks ago, I was talking to a friend of mine – a Judge, and I felt so embarrassed and ashamed of Nigeria. He told me that he had applied to the Bank where his salary is domiciled for a N10 million loan a few years ago, to complete the construction of a house on a piece of land which his father bequeathed to him, so that he could earn some extra income to augment his salary and give his children a decent education, and also not end up being homeless on his retirement. The Bank flatly turned him down and refused to grant the loan, because they said his salary was too paltry to support a N10 million loan.

Catholic Priest of Adoration Ministry Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has announced a shutdown of his Ministry for a period of one month.
Tribune online learnt that this may not be unconnected with the earlier directive given to him by the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Bishop Calistus Onaga.
The ministry sent out a notice early Tuesday morning informing members that Fr. Mbaka was proceeding on a one-month private prayer retreat.
It was, however, silent on whether it was in obedience to the Bishop’s order.
