Alton man charged with sexual assault of infant Scott Cousins, scousins@thetelegraph.com FacebookTwitterEmail EDWARDSVILLE An Alton man was charged Monday with the sexual assault of an infant. Devin P. Brazier, 27, with a last known address of the 2300 block of LaSalle Drive, Alton, was charged May 24 with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, a Class X felony; and, attempted predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, a Class 1 felony. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department. According to court documents, on May 20 Brazier sexually assaulted a child younger than 1 year old, and “committed a substantial step toward the commission of the offense of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child” against the infant.
