LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - Residents at the Lawton Fort Sill Veterans Center will get a special gift this year from Kirkâs EMS.
For the past couple of years, Kirkâs EMS has given back to the community during the holidays.
This year, theyâve been gearing up to give gifts to the Lawton Fort Sill Veterans Center.
Those gifts include socks, blankets, beanies, playing cards, and much more.
âItâs been a hard year for everybody this year and especially with families not being able to visit. So we thought we would give them something to possibly brighten up their Christmas and put a smile on their face,â Kirkâs EMS Chief Operating Officer Hershel Kuykendall said.

LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - The Elgin High School Band stopped by the Lawton Fort Sill Veterans Center today to play some Christmas carols for the veterans.
Students and staff from Elgin Public Schools and even Santa and Mrs. Claus spread some holiday cheer Monday morning.
“We really wanted to bring joy to the residents since they haven’t been able to see their loved ones. For us, it’s just nice to be able to bring them that joy,” said Elgin sophomore Hayden Evon.
