Over 160 Dogs Siezed From Louisiana Puppy Mill More than 160 skinny, sick, and mistreated dogs were seized from an alleged puppy mill in St. Landry Parish over the last two months. According to authorities, an anonymous tipster gave them credible information that animals were being severely mistreated at a home in St. Landry Parish. The first raid was conducted in February, when 150 dogs were taken from the home somewhere between Opelousas and Grand Coteau. They recently got another tip that the alleged puppy mill had started up their operations again. Last week, they hit a barn in Sunset, Louisiana and found another 11 dogs on the property.
