Lambton County will stick with limited aerial spraying at lands it owns in Lambton Shores after learning spraying all areas of the county impacted by an outbreak of gypsy moths could cost up to $5 million.
A committee of county council asked recently for an estimate to spray all impacted areas of the county – both public and private lands – at the same time it recommended limited spraying at three county-owned properties.

That limited approach, at a cost of about $10,000, was approved this week by county council after receiving a report from staff on the high price tag of countywide spraying for the pest.
