Positive COVID-19 case found at Bishop Lloyd Middle School

The Lloydminster Public School Division has confirmed another COVID case at Bishop Lloyd Middle School.
The LPSD says that information from the SHA on January 5th indicated it was impacting an individual at the school. They also said that contact tracing has been completed, and the school community notified.
The school division says no further details will be discussed to protect privacy.

Lloydminster Public School Division students will be going back to school in the new year and follow the same protocols as they did before they left for the winter break.
K to 9 students will be back in classes everyday while high school students will continue attending classes in-person every other day. Director of Education Todd Robinson says the division is prepared for the possibility of all their students having to switch to online learning.
“We would prefer to have students in our schools on a day-to-day basis. We miss not having them now at the high school everyday as we’re in a every other day context, but I think the school division has done a really good job at preparing and should we be asked to move to that mode of delivery, we will be ready to go and it will be a good enriched experience for our students and well suppor
Two more positive cases found at E.S. Laird Middle School

Lloydminster Public School Division is confirming two more positive COVID-19 cases at E.S. Laird Middle School.
LPSD was advised by the Saskatchewan Health Authority of positive tests in individuals in the grade 7 and 9 classes on December 22.
They say contact tracing has been completed and parents and guardians have been contacted and should be self-isolating. Specific classrooms and the school community has also been informed.
In order to protect privacy, LPSD is not sharing or discussing details about the confirmed cases. They note LPSD and E.S. Laird staff will continue to look after the health of students with support from SHA and Public Health.
Positive COVID-19 case confirmed at E.S. Laird and Avery Outreach School

Lloydminster Public School Division has confirmed another two cases of COVID-19 in schools in the city.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority informed the division of a positive COVID-19 case in an individual at Avery Outreach School on December 18th. The division notes the person did not attend the school while infected and has been self-isolating.
The division notes no additional action is required due to the precautionary measures.
They were also told about a person who tested positive in the grade 9 class at E.S. Laird Middle School also on December 18th. They say the contact tracing process has been completed and parents and guardians of students in the class being notified of the case.
