British supercar maker McLaren is in talks for the sale of a share of its Formula 1 team in order to fund its medium-term future,
Autocar has reported. The Woking-based manufacturer has been hard-hit by the coronavirus and the consequent shutdown, though it has recently received US$184 million (RM788 million) in financing facility from the National Bank of Bahrain.
The Bahrain funding will come as some welcome relief, however more is needed, and the company has received approval from its shareholders to investigate other ways to further raise funds to secure its future over the next five years, the magazine reported.
