Watch: Short film about Lauren Fry’s ‘Foible and Folly’ installation at Boojum and Snark
Take a few minutes out of your day to watch this short film about Isle of Wight artist, Lauren Fry’s latest project at Boojum and Snark. We think it’s great
If you live in Sandown you may well have recently walked past the windows of Boojum and Snark, the town’s bar and pico-brewery, and seen Isle of Wight artist Lauren Fry busily working on the latest installation.
News OnTheWight shared news of Boojum’s latest commission, Foible & Folly, last month, but this new short film gives you a bit more insight into Lauren’s working process and her hopes for how the project will have a lasting effect on the local community.
Ventnor Day an opportunity to celebrate strength of the town’s community spirit
Ventnor Day brings music, performance, stalls and food in the picturesque setting of Ventnor Park
With carnival season cancelled this year Ventnorians are being encouraged to put Saturday 14th August in their diaries for the return of Ventnor Day.
Ventnor Day is an opportunity to celebrate the strength of the town’s community spirit and voluntary and community sector – with music, performance, stalls and food in the picturesque setting of Ventnor Park.
Carnival Committee and VTC
Saturday 14th would have been the date of the Illuminated Carnival – which is unable to take place this year, so the Carnival Committee are instead working with the Town Council to help organise the event.
