Lordstown Motors (NASDAQ:RIDE) were trading lower on Friday. A Wall Street analyst with a large following among electric-vehicle investors initiated coverage of Lordstown with a bearish take.
As of 11:15 a.m. EST, Lordstown s shares were trading at $27.46, down about 10.7% from Thursday s closing price.

Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) over the last several years. Alas for Lordstown fans, he s not nearly as bullish on the Ohio start-up. In a note released late on Thursday, Jonas initiated coverage of Lordstown Motors with an underweight rating and a price target of $18, about 41% below the stock s Thursday closing price.
Ford F-150 Electric Pickup Truck Will Enter Production In 2022
Feb 11, 2021 at 7:52am ET ++ Ford hasn t given us much information on the F-150 Electric, but we now have a reveal and production timeframe.
While other automakers have been strutting their future electric trucks on TV and social media, Ford has been tight lipped about its upcoming all-electric F-150. That has finally changed. In a conference held today, Ford Motor’s chief of product platform and operations, Hau Thai-Tang, gave us timeline for its reveal and production dates.
The launch of the F-150 BEV will follow the launch of the Transit EV in the fourth quarter of this year. That’s a little late compared to other electric trucks, but production will soon follow. According to Thai-Tang, the F-150 BEV will be market-ready during the first quarter of 2022.

Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) doubled its investment in EVs to $22 million, along with $9 million devoted to development of autonomous vehicle technologies. Although we don t know exactly what exact EV models is the Blue Oval planning, we do Ford will focus on its core pillars of today: pickup trucks, SUVs and vans. The world is eagerly waiting for the electric version of the best-selling pickup truck in the US, F-150, in 2022. Last year, Ford revealed the E-Transit as its battery-electric van option. Speaking of pickup trucks, this will be the year when the electric pickup comes to life, but it remains unknown which automaker will be the first to pull it off.
2021 will see the beginning of electric pickup trucks being introduced into the market.
Governor Baker has mandated that by 2035, all “light-duty vehicles” sold in Massachusetts will need to be zero emissions. This means cars, but mandates such as this will boost the production of electric vehicles for all.
