Kevin Adams, 47, of Covina, was charged last September with a felony count of workers compensation insurance fraud. Adams, who had worked in the custody division at Twin Towers Correctional Facility, could face a jail sentence of up to five years if convicted as charged, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney s Office. The court papers, filed Tuesday, note that the prosecution is “ready to bring petitioner to trial and is aware of Weinstein s statutory right to be brought to trial within 120 days of arriving in Los Angeles, where he is facing sexual assault charges.
