According to a release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the department received notice on Tuesday afternoon of a 40-year-old Rhinelander man that had fled from Vilas County Sheriff’s Deputies. A warrant had been issued for the man after his bail was revoked in a pending felony case in Vilas County. The man, who is facing two charges of sexual assault of a child, removed his electronic monitoring device by cutting off an ankle bracelet and throwing it away in Rhinelander.

Tomahawk man faces felony charges of sexual assault and burglary

The Tomahawk man accused of breaking into a couple s home and having inappropriate relations with one of the residents appeared in Lincoln County court Wednesday via Zoom. Edwin R. Juedes, 47, appeared before Lincoln County Circuit Court Judge Robert Russell, but after Wednesday’s proceeding, things might take a little longer to move forward. According to online court records Juedes is facing two felony charges of: — Second degree sexual assault/unconscious victim, a class C felony in Wisconsin and upon conviction may be fined not more than $100,000 or imprisoned not more than 40 years, or both. — Burglary of a building or dwelling, a class F felony, and upon conviction may be fined not more than $25,000 or imprisoned not more than 12 years and six months, or both.
