(Video by Julia Cardi) The Lincoln County sheriff’s deputy shot Thursday near Limon was released from Swedish Medical Center in Englewood on Tuesday afternoon. Deputy Michael Hutton emerged to applauding members of law enforcement. Hooked up to oxygen and with his arm bandaged but able to stand on his own, Hutton got into his own patrol car to leave the hospital.  He suffered three gunshot wounds to his hand, arm and shoulder. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office tweeted at the time his condition was stable but serious.

Missing Woman Sought, Detectives Request Assistance From Public Arin Taylor Andrews Missing Woman Sought, Detectives Request Assistance From Public May 25, 2021 Lincoln County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing woman. 25-year-old Arin Taylor Andrews of Ore Bank Drive in Iron Station was last seen on Friday, May 21, at approximately 4:15 p.m. when she was dropped off near Lowe’s Home Improvement store in Denver to pick up her vehicle. Andrews is described as a white female, 4’11”, weighing approximately 130 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes. Andrews was driving a silver 2007 Kia Sorrento and may be in the areas of Denver, Iron Station, Lincolnton, or Mecklenburg County.

Lincoln County deputy released from hospital after ambush Lincoln County deputy released from hospital after ambush Hutton was taken to Swedish Medical Center and treated for multiple gunshot wounds he sustained during a shootout with a theft suspect on Highway 40 outside of Limon. It started with a report from a semi-truck driver that someone was stealing merchandise out of the back of his truck. Hutton responded, but within seconds of getting out of his patrol car, he was met with a hail of gunfire, according to Capt. Michael Yowell. According to the Lincoln County Sheriff s Office, Hutton was able to get himself out of the line of fire during the attack. Since the ambush, Hutton has undergone several surgeries during his time at the hospital.
