At the same time, the 36th Guam Legislature will be commemorating memorial on the front steps of the Guam Congress Building.
At 8:30 a.m. all churches are asked to toll their bells in honor of each life lost to COVID-19 on Guam. All government agencies, businesses and organizations are asked to pause and observe a moment of silence at this time.
The observation will coincide with President-elect Joe Biden s lighting ceremony at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to commemorate American lives lost to COVID-19.
BELFAST The Belfast City Council will gather for its regular council meeting Jan. 19, with
agenda items that include a request to add artwork to Belfast’ crosswalks, and a request to engage the services of a specific lawyer in relation to the “upcoming administrative appeal of the Planning Board permit decisions on Nordic Aquafarms, according to the council’s released agenda.
The Belfast City Council holds regular meetings on the first and third Tuesday of every month.
The first agenda item, the adoption of a proclamation recognizing Jan. 19, 2021, as “A Nationwide Memorial Honoring Those Who Have Died from the Coronavirus.”
The memorial will be recognized tonight by President-elect Joe Biden, with the American Hospital Association writing:
