Atkinson Scholarship deadline approaching

Sudbury Foundation recently announced the final deadline for its Atkinson Scholarship Program is on Feb. 1.
Established in 1995, the Atkinson Scholarship Program offers qualified high school seniors up to $5,000 a year in grant money, with an option to reapply each year of their undergraduate academic career. The scholarships are designed to recognize and assist local students with financial need, academic promise and the capacity to make a meaningful contribution to society.
To be eligible for an Atkinson Scholarship, an applicant must be a high school senior planning to attend an accredited two or four-year college, university, nursing school or approved vocational/professional development program. In addition, the applicant must be either a Sudbury resident or the dependent of a Sudbury resident; or enrolled at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School or the dependent of a full-time Town of Sudbury employee or a full-
