MILLERSBURG, Ore. – A 17-year-old is in custody in connection with a drive-by shooting in Millersburg earlier this year, Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon said.
The boy was arrested on Wednesday and taken to the Linn-Benton Juvenile Detention Facility.
On Feb. 27, multiple shots were fired into a duplex on Waverly Drive at about 7 p.m. Bullets penetrated a home and nearly hit two people, but no injuries were reported. It’s not clear if they were the intended target.
Missing man found dead in Mill City
No evidence of foul play was found in the autopsy.

MILL CITY, Ore. – A missing man has been found dead in Mill City, Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon said.
A body found last weekend along the Santiam River has been identified through dental records as Isaac Pond, 21.
Yon said Pond walked away from home after a disagreement with family members on Dec. 31, 2020.
No evidence of foul play was found in the autopsy. Detectives are still investigating what caused the death.

Sweet Home man accused of sexually abusing children

SWEET HOME, Ore. – A Sweet Home man is in jail, accused of sexually abusing two young children, Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon said.
Detectives arrested Gary Coomer, 48, for multiple sexual abuse crimes on April 9. The investigation began in August 2020 when an 8-year-old girl and a 4-year-old girl reported sexual abuse.
Coomer faces two counts of first-degree rape, three counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of first-degree sodomy.
