A planned new road for South-East Clare and Limerick is at the centre of a growing disagreement amongst government partners.
At last night’s parliamentary party meeting, Clare Fianna Fáil representatives Cathal Crowe and Timmy Dooley were among those who spoke out against the proposal by Greens leader and Transport Minister Eamon Ryan to seek alterations to the Limerick Northern Distributor Road Project, according to
the Irish Examiner.
Another TD who spoke out on the issue, Limerick’s Willie O’Dea, later said that Taoiseach Micheál Martin and the wider Fianna Fáil parliamentary party backed a motion calling for the road to be completed in its entirety.
