NORTH VERNON, Ind. – Cassidy Mull, a senior at Jennings County High School, is the 2021 Lilly Endowment, Inc. Community Scholar for Jennings County. Cassidy is the daughter of Matthew and Lori Mull of North Vernon.
Mull receives a four-year, full-tuition scholarship at an Indiana college and a $900 stipend for books. She said, “I’m speechless and in total shock receiving this scholarship. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I’m forever grateful to the Jennings County Community Foundation and Lilly Endowment Scholarship Program.”
Cassidy has been active in many school activities including Volleyball, Student Council, Key Club, and Spanish Club. She is ranked number two in her graduating class. She has also participated in community involvement programs like the Harmon Food Drive and the United Way.

One Marshall County student has been named recipient of a four-year, full tuition scholarship as the Marshall County Community Foundation 2021 Lilly Endowment Community Scholar.
Mark Bahr will receive not only full tuition to the Indiana college of his choice, but also a $900.00 yearly stipend for required books and equipment.
Mark Bahris the son of Tim and Jackie Bahr, of Bremen, IN. He attends Bremen Senior High School. Mark is planning to attend Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and will major in either in business or accounting.
The Lilly Scholarship Selection Committee, consisting of Beth Styers, Chair, Dr. Don Balka, Scott Joyner, Karen Schlosser, John Small Jr., Jared Weidner and Barbara Winters reviewed 31 applications and interviewed several applicants. Top finalists were recommended to the Board of Directors of the Marshall County Community Foundation and then submitted to Independent Colleges of Indiana (ICI) for final selection of the recipient. Hanna Whitney, a current senior at Huntington North High School, is the recipient of the 2021 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship in Huntington County.
The scholarship, administered locally through the Huntington County Community Foundation, affords Whitney four years of otherwise unreimbursed full tuition and required fees to an accredited public or private nonprofit college or university in Indiana, as well as a special allocation of up to $900 for required books and equipment.
Although she is currently undecided as to which university she will attend, those under consideration include Notre Dame, Hanover and Indiana universities. She intends to pursue a career in the field of medicine.
