The first league season under Marc Bridge-Wilkinson’s tutelage came to a close on Tuesday, and the U18s ended it the same way it started, with a resounding victory.
There were sweeping changes, 11 to be exact, off the back of their memorable win at Anfield where they sealed a place in the FA Youth Cup semi-final, but you wouldn’t have known it from their performance alone.
A more youthful side than the norm picked up from where they left off in a nod to what we can expect next season with a handful of 16-year-olds in the XI.

Steven Gerrard has revealed the valuable advice that he received from Jurgen Klopp before he became Rangers manager in 2018.
It is three years since
Gerrard left his role in the Liverpool Academy to take over in the Ibrox hot seat. The former Liverpool captain, who retired in 2016, replaced Graeme Murty, who was in interim charge. The 4o-year-old has worked wonders at the club and he has already guided the club to their first Scottish title in 10 years.
Gerrard remains grounded though, despite a overturning a decade of dominance from Celtic. And the former England captain has revealed asking Liverpool boss Klopp for some advice before he took the reigns in Scotland.

It has been another difficult campaign for Glatzel, who recovered from a long-term ACL injury that curtailed his step up to the first team in 2019 only to suffer a series of setbacks.
Most concerning was the ankle ligament damage sustained in a 0-0 draw with Southampton in December, with Jurgen Klopp watching on that day at Kirkby as he was helped off the pitch at half-time.

It’s the final month of action in season 2020/21 for Liverpool, where they face a defining five games in the race for European action.
The month of April was yet another full of frustration as an inability to put away chances and hold on to a winning position saw just two wins from six recorded.
It led to elimination from the Champions League and threw another spanner in the works when top-four looked back on the table, but now all focus must be on the final five matches.
After eight gruelling months, 2020/21 will soon come to a close but before then Jurgen Klopp‘s men must navigate five games in 21 days.
