Subscriber only A senior South Australian firefighter who allegedly begged a woman for sex while the pair were volunteering during the 2019 NSW bushfires is pleading not guilty to all charges. Gregory Michael Davis, 51, previously pleaded not guilty to four counts of sexually touching another person. The Wayville man is facing a three-day hearing in Lismore Local Court this week. The SA Metro Fire Service commander had been deployed to Northern NSW in December 2019 to assist with the ongoing bushfires. Mr Davis met the then 26-year-old complainant while they were travelling with about 60 firefighter volunteers to Armidale, the court heard.

An East Lismore businessman accused of supplying drugs has had his bail varied to state that if he breaches the conditions $50,000 will be forfeited to the courts.
Brett Anthony Robertson, 55, is charged with two counts of supplying a prohibited drug, knowingly dealing with proceeds of crime and two counts of possessing a prohibited drug.
Police will allege Mr Robertson was supplying 5.415 litres worth of 4-hydroxybutanic acid and five grams of methylamphetamine when he was arrested at East Lismore on March 24, 2021.
He also allegedly dealt with proceeds of crime worth $20,050 and was in possession of three grams of cannabis and one gram of cocaine at the time of his arrest, according to court documents.

Subscriber only The case against a police officer accused of aggravated sexual assault of a teenager has been delayed as the prosecution attempts to finalise paperwork. The police officer, a 29-year old senior constable, is facing multiple charges of aggravated sexual intercourse with a child between 14-16. He was arrested in December 2020 after the Professional Standards Command (PSC) investigators established Strike Force Yalu in September to investigate alleged reports of misconduct by the policeman, attached to the Northern Region. When the man s matter briefly mentioned in Lismore Local Court on April 14, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions indicated a special prosecutions team would be proceeding with the case.
