Yesterday was like 100º outside, Zuleyca Serrano, who lives across the hall from the apartment, told local news station NBC2. I think pets are like babies or like kids, so I can t imagine. The apartment was rented by a woman named Carleen Martinez, according to police, and found in disarray with the AC unit turned off. One of the dogs was reportedly wandering through the hallway near Martinez s apartment.

Puppy Reportedly Locked in Car With Mouth Taped Shut While Owners Went Shopping Deserves Justice

Target: Florida State Attorney of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit, Amira D. Fox Goal: Justly punish people who reportedly left puppy inside car with mouth taped shut while they went shopping at Walmart. A 9-week-old great Pyrenees was allegedly rescued after being found inside a car with the animal’s mouth taped shut. Jaelen Anthony Barge and Allison Marie Sweck were later arrested for the reported incident. They need to receive a harsh legal sentence and not be allowed to have pets if these allegations are found to be true. According to reports, a training lead had been taped around the puppy’s mouth for the purpose of making sure no biting took place. However, these types of leads are specifically designed to keep an animal from pulling during a walk, and not to be employed in the way it was allegedly used. Witnesses called police after they reportedly noticed mucus profusely dripping from the dog’s nose and mouth. It was also said that there was a second dog in the vehicle

LCSO said deputies discovered Barge and Sweck tightly wrapped a training lead around the puppy’s snout to prevent the puppy from nipping them.

Couple from Tennessee arrested after puppy found with snout taped shut

The Lee County Sheriff s Office said deputies responding to a call at Walmart off U.S. 41 in Estero found the puppy, in distress, in a blue Hyundai SUV, halfway hanging out of a window, with his mouth taped shut. There was also another dog inside the vehicle. A witness at the site told deputies that the dog was hanging halfway out the SUV s window with snot coming from its nose and electrical tape wrapped tightly around the mouth area. The young dog was also leashed to a headrest inside the SUV. The witness said they removed the tape, took the puppy out of the SUV and then provided water to the dog, which had trouble drinking due to having been bound tightly.
