An investigation has been launched into the cause of a house fire which led to the evacuation of three homes.

A city centre street has been closed by police this afternoon after dangerous guttering was spotted dangling off a building.
The fire service is currently at the scene working to make the area safe again. They were called out shortly after 11am today.
It is hoped the road will be re-opened again at about 2pm today.
The police said in a tweet: Friar lane in Leicester is currently closed by our colleagues at Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service owing to unsafe guttering.
