Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has revealed the architects and design teams in the running to work on the £600m redevelopment of two new hospitals in the city.
The trust was one of six to be awarded a share of £2.7bn of funding last year as part of the first wave of the government’s health infrastructure plan (HIP).

A further six Covid-19-related hospital deaths were reported in the Bradford district today. Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust reported three deaths, while Airedale NHS Foundation Trust also reported three deaths. The three death at Bradford was reported on Thursday, January 28, while one death at Airedale was reported on Friday, January 29 and two further deaths were reported on Thursday, January 28. It means that the total number of hospital deaths in the district, according to NHS England figures, now stands at 750 - 521 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 227 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. Elsewhere in West Yorkshire, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust reported two deaths, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust reported two deaths and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust reported seven deaths.
