Novant hospitals get top marks in national spring survey Novant Health/UVA Prince William Medical Center in Mansssas.
Novant / UVA Health Medical Center was awarded three top grades from the Leapfrog Group’s spring 2021 Hospital Safety Grade.
In our region, the hospitals include Prince William and Haymarket medical centers.
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses up to 27 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to more than 2,700 U.S. acute-care hospitals twice per year.

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. Four Singing River Health System hospitals are the only Mississippi hospitals south of Jackson to earn an “A” rating for patient safety.
The four facilities Singing River Hospital, Ocean Springs Hospital, Ochsner Medical Center - Hancock, and Singing River Gulfport Hospital all received top ratings for patient safety in the spring Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades, released Thursday.
All four facilities are operated through a partnership between SRHS and Ochsner Health. The “A” grade signifies each of the hospitals achievement in protecting patients from errors, injuries, accidents and infections.

It s worth noting the hospitals were graded during a time of extraordinary pressure on the health care system due to the coronavirus pandemic. This pandemic emphasized how much we rely on America s health care workforce, Leapfrog Group President and CEO Leah Binder said in a news release. Our straight A hospitals remind us how preparedness protected their patients as well as their workforce and created a high level of organizational resilience.
