Only one Midlands hospital gets an A safety grade in watchdog s new report card Noah Feit, The State (Columbia, S.C.)
Apr. 29 One Midlands hospital stands out in the safety grades released by a medical watchdog group Thursday.
Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge continues to be ranked as one of the safest hospitals in South Carolina, according to the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade. The Columbia hospital received the highest grade from the Leapfrog Group, which issues biannual safety rankings.
Since 2012, the Leapfrog Group has published Hospital Safety Scores twice a year once in the spring and once during the fall to create transparency in the U.S. health system. The rating is focused on errors, accidents, injuries and infections.

Michigan Medicine Nationally Recognized for Straight ‘A’s in The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade Only 27 other hospitals in the U.S. have achieved this distinction

LEWISTON For the sixth time in a row, Central Maine Medical Center earned an A, the highest grade possible, for hospital safety from The Leapfrog Group, a national advocate for hospital transparency.
This national distinction recognizes CMMC’s commitment to eliminating patient harm and its success in engaging team members at every level of the organization in this goal. The most recent A, awarded Thursday, is for the Spring 2021 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade and honors the hospital’s achievements protecting patients from errors, injuries, accidents and infections.
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade assigns an A, B, C, D or F grade to all general hospitals across the country and updates them every six months. It is the only hospital ratings program based exclusively on hospitals’ prevention of medical errors and other harms to patients in their care.
Two SLO County hospitals honored with “A” grade for patient safety
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Two Tenet Health Central Coast hospitals have received an A rating from a national hospital safety organization for patient safety.
Sierra Vista Regional Medial Center in San Luis Obispo and Twin Cities Community Hospital in empleton both got an A for spring of 2021 from the Leapfrog Group.
