There are no surprises in the starting lineups for Baylor and Gonzaga in the national championship game.
The Bears will go with their dynamic backcourt of All-American guard Jared Butler, defensive player of the year Davion Mitchell and sharp-shooter MaCio Teague. Mark Vital and Flo Thamba will patrol the paint for them.
The Bulldogs will counter with Jalen Suggs, whose buzzer-beating 3-pointer in overtime sent them past UCLA in the semifinals, alongside fellow guards Andrew Nembhard and Joel Ayayi. All-American forward Corey Kispert and Drew Timme, who also had a monster game against the Bruins, will round out the starters.

National Championship Gonzaga Vs. Baylor Game Thread

Congratulations, you have all made it to the end of the NCAA basketball season, COVID edition.
This year as seen many ups and downs for the sport on and off the court. You had teams to had to postpone games due to outbreaks. On the other side you had teams that did not have a current outbreak and had to deal with those postponements.
Teams were taken out of action for weeks at a time. Many of these coaches, players, and personnel spent the entire season away from friends and loved ones. Just to make sure they did not get COVID and spread it to the team.

INDIANAPOLIS - There was another team out there that was marching through the season undefeated, that looked unstoppable at times, that had all arrows pointing toward a national title.
COVID-19 put a halt to the undefeated dream. Nothing could stop Baylor from cutting down the nets.
Not even Gonzaga.
The fresh-as-can-be Bears obliterated wobbly-legged Gonzagaâs march to its own undefeated season Monday night. It was an 86-70 runaway that brought this once-downtrodden programâs first national title back home to Waco, Texas.
