A large COVID-19 vaccine clinic in a former Northampton County box store is opening up for walk-ins, at least the second large-scale site to do so in the Lehigh Valley.
Anyone 18 and older can now get their first Moderna shot without an appointment at the Lehigh Valley Health Network clinic in the old Sears location at the Northampton Crossings shopping center, 3768 Easton Nazareth Highway in Lower Nazareth Township.

More than 26,000 Pennsylvanians have lost their lives to COVID-19 since the global pandemic hit the state in March 2020.
The 84 deaths reported Tuesday by the Pennsylvania Department of Health bring the state’s death toll to 26,072 people, according to the daily report. The majority of those who have died were over 65.
The 3,333 new coronavirus infections also reported Tuesday bring the total to 1,139,390 people sickened since the first case was detected almost 14 months ago.
This comes as the rate of new infections and hospitalized patients is slowing, but deaths are still rising.
