Assistance from an unlikely source Members of the Chabad-Lubavitch of St. Lucia loading supplies to be shipped to SVG. Shaaryn Behr, a South African national who has been domiciled in St. Vincent and the Grenadines for the last 11 years, is said to be one of two practicing Jews in this country. Whatever her calling, she needed little or no prompting into using her connections to bring much needed relief assistance to her adopted homeland, during a period of real need. Not long after the first eruption on Friday 9th April, Shaaryn made contact with Rabbi Avraham Super, co-director of Chabad-Lubavitch of St. Lucia, and his wife Sternie, to establish what could be done to assist St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
