An area man threatened Tuesday to âshoot upâ the office of Magisterial District Judge Daniel OâDonnell in Butler Twp. and then shoot himself, according to Butler Twp. police.
Police said Deathrice Gray, 47, of Route 940, Freeland, called a WNEP-TV employee at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday and ranted about how he had never received money that he was awarded in a court case.
He then told the employee that he would âshoot up OâDonnellâs officeâ and then himself.
Police advised OâDonnell of the threatening telephone call. OâDonnell told police that he and his staff were familiar with Gray. Because they believed the threat to be real, the building was evacuated. Court was in session that day, police said.
A Wilkes-Barre man is facing drug-trafficking charges alleging was dealing cocaine, according to Kingston police.
Alex Bonilla, 25, was arrested during a traffic stop Thursday following an investigation by the Luzerne County Drug Task Force that began last month, police said.
According to police, Bonilla admitted to having cocaine and cash in his vehicle during the stop.
Police charged Bonilla with possessing a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, delivering a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility.
Magisterial District Judge James J. Haggerty arraigned Bonilla on the charges and set bail at $10,000.
Bonilla was being held at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
