THANKS TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND THE CITY BUT IT IS AN EMOTIONAL DAY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN FIGHTING FOR JUSTICE FOR HER SINCE LAST YEAR. IT WAS AMAZING EVENT. WE WAS YOU IN THE FACT AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL AFTER AN EVENTFUL WEEKEND HONORING BREONNA TAYLOR THE CLEANUP PROCESS BEGAN THROUGHOUT DOWNTOWN LOUISVILLE CITY CREWS REMOVED MIRACADES AND TRAFFIC SIGNS AND ALL HANDS WERE ON DECK AT JEFFERSON SQUARE PARK AS VOLUNTEERS CLEARED OUT REMAINING MEMORIAL ITEMS FOR TAYLOR. Show Transcript WINTER STORM. REPORTER: FOR MORE THAN A WEEK NOW, METRO ROAD CREWS HAVE BEEN OUT ON THE ROADS NON-STOP, AND THAT’S EXPECTED TO CONTINUE AS THE NEXT ROUND OF SNOW MOVES IN. ACCORDING TO METRO PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR VANESSA BURNS, MAIN ROADS HAVE BEEN THE FOCUS, AND MOST ARE NOW IN GOOD CONDITION. I THINK WE HAVE GOT TO BE HONEST. SOME OF THE SMALLER STREETS THAT ARE ON OUR SNOW ROUTES ARE NOT AS WELL AS MAJOR STREETS AND THE REASON BEING THERE IS LESS TRAFFIC. PLEASE BE PATIENT AND WE WILL WORK AT IT AS MUCH AS WE CAN. REPORTER: WHILE MAIN ROADS HAVE BEEN CLEARED, THE SIDEWALKS ALONG THEM REMAIN PACKED WITH SNOW AND ICE, FORCING SOME PEOPLE TO WALK ON THE STREETS.
