With Louisville blanketed by snow and more winter weather on the way, Ethan the dog is enjoying the weather at his (temporary) home while continuing his recovery. Just weeks after he was abandoned at the Kentucky Humane Society in critical condition, the dog that s become a fan favorite throughout the community is enjoying the winter weather and even getting his own merchandise line.

A severely malnourished dog abandoned at the Kentucky Humane Society is out of the emergency veterinary hospital and back with KHS staff, the group announced Wednesday evening. Ethan was stable enough to come home from the hospital today. While he is still unable to walk on his own and will need round-the-clock care from our vet team, we feel he is out of the woods when it comes to refeeding syndrome. Our staff can take care of him from this point on, they wrote on social media, where they ve been sharing updates on his condition.
