LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. The Lexington County Sheriff s Office is hoping neighborhood interviews and a vehicle description will lead to strong clues regarding who killed 18-year-old Direko C. Thomas on Saturday afternoon.
The sheriff s office released a statement in the afternoon explaining that the shooting happened in the 100 block of Miranda Drive - a neighborhood just off of Charleston Highway and north of Old Wire Road. Based on information from witnesses, the shooter left the scene in a black Nissan Maxima, which we have located, Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. We don t have much else to go on at this point.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A Lexington County man has been arrested in connection with the sexual exploitation of minors.
Daniel Terence Gregory, 51, has been charged with one count of 2nd-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and seven counts of 3rd-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Investigators with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received CyberTipline reports that led them to Gregory. Officials say he distributed and possessed files of child sexual abuse material.
