New Garda phone line for reporting Covid breaches
GARDAÍ in Donegal have launched a phone line dedicated to the reporting of Covid-19 breaches.
The force said the number will make it easier for people to let officers know about events including:
Young people organising parties amongst themselves at various locations and this includes beach parties

Older Secondary School Pupils congregating socially
Wakes being held in contravention of Guidelines and social gatherings being organised after funerals
“In order to make it easier for people to let An Garda Síochána in Donegal know about such events they become aware of we have set up a dedicated reporting line at Letterkenny Garda Station,” said a Garda spokesperson.
Gardaà have seized approximately â¬21,000 worth of suspected cocaine following the search of a car in Lifford yesterday.
The seizure was made shortly after 5.30pm on Tuesday when Gardaà attached to the Donegal Divisional Drugs Unit stopped a car travelling in the area.
A search was conducted and during the course of this, a quantity of cocaine (pending analysis) valued at â¬20,000 was detected and seized.
A follow up search of a house in Mannorcunningham was conducted and a further quantity of suspected cocaine was seized.
One man in his mid-30s was arrested in connection with this seizure. He was detained at Letterkenny Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Woman (30s) seriously injured in single-car crash in Donegal this morning

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses after a woman was seriously injured in a single-car collision in Co Donegal this morning.
At approximately 8:30am this morning, Gardaí attended the scene of the crash on the N14 Letterkenny to Lifford road, near Castledooey.
The woman, aged in her 30s, was seriously injured and has since been taken to Letterkenny University Hospital.
