The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has revealed new information about the Beirut port explosion, France 24 channel reports referring to former Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab.
The FBI found out that the explosion was caused by less ammonium nitrate than previously assumed. The FBI believes that 500 tons of the substance were the cause of the incident and not 2,700 tons.
